Re: Upgrade from Pro Tools 8 LE to 12 trouble
Pro Tools 8 has been at end of service for over 5 years. There are compatibilty charts available, which makes it viable to do your research BEFORE you buy new hardware, not after.

Re: Upgrade from Pro Tools 8 LE to 12 trouble
I just did this. your pro tools 8 (like mine) and in all Pro Tools below 11, will not be able to use more than 3 GB RAM. So you're not using your full potential on all computers.
I have Windows 10. and the pro tools 8 worked ok, not great, because it also cant use Asio4all and therefore offer no interface operation, and sound route thru onboard speakers/headphones. Sent from my One using Tapatalk |

Re: Upgrade from Pro Tools 8 LE to 12 trouble
you're right. it is ridiculous. I'm in same situation. Pro tools always lagged in updating drivers for their own Rack 003. Windows was even better than Mac. So the net result is we are totally moving to Studio One.
