PT 9.0.2 Crash when opening Session Setup Motu Traveler
Hello DUC community,
Every time I open the session setup from the menu or press cmd + 2 my session crashes, looks like I can perform all the other basic functions for now. This happens only when I use my MOTU Traveler, if I set my playback engine to built-in output it works fine. It started to happen with 9.0.1 so I upgraded to 9.0.2 but still have the same problem. I reinstalled the latest drivers for my MOTU and restored to factory default. I also trashed the preferences, reseted the PRAM, SMC and verified my disks. I tried connecting the Traveler straight to my MacBook Pro but still the same problem. Any other ideas of what else I might try? I will contact MOTU as well. Thanks in advance, Diego System Profile: MacBook Pro 2.8ghz (first gen unibody) 4gb RAM OS X 10.6.6 MOTU Traveler PT 9.0.2 *** I forgot to mention that when I have the Video Engine folder active I get the "segmentation fault in thread main thread at address 0x0" error and then it crashes. When I rename that folder PT crashes right away. Last edited by diegoperez; 03-17-2011 at 04:46 PM. Reason: Forgot to add Video Engine setting |

Re: PT 9.0.2 Crash when opening Session Setup Motu Traveler
Has there been an news on this. I don't plan on using PT for Video (Final Cut is more my speed) and I'm running MOTU 2408's on a PCIe card and a MOTU HDX-sdi on it's own card. I was just checking out every menu option and when I selected Session under the Setup menu down it went.

OK so trash your PT prefs (link below). That did it for me. I just may have to write a one click script since I seem to be dumping prefs at least once a day. I usually get paid to beta test software. sigh.

Re: PT 9.0.2 Crash when opening Session Setup Motu Traveler
There's a preference trashing utility (actually a couple of them) in the General Troubleshooting thread.
You may also want to trash the Core Audio preferences files indicated in that thread as well, as that may help. |

Re: PT 9.0.2 Crash when opening Session Setup Motu Traveler
I did that back when I posted this thread and nothing.
I tried again today and still the same problem. Anytime I have to change something in my session setup I have to change my playback engine to built-in-output first. |
