Default Eleven Rack with PT 11

Hi,

Since PT11 does not have an 11R window how do we import user presets in the 11R. I am new to the 11R, but found the site and tons of .tfx presets. If anyone has an idea on this that would be great.

Thanks

you will need to use Pro Tools 10 to access the on-screen editor

Your PT11 license came with a bundled PT10 license, so it should not be any problem to install and use it.

can the pt10 license be put on a separate ilok so I could use a laptop to control the 11 rack but still run 11 on the main computer?

Unfortunately not, it's a license bundle that can't be seperated.

Thanks all, I found it...the trick is activate the a very simplistic 11R window found in Pro tools. Click the right top corner drop down menu and select Eleven. Once on it will appear far left top corner and current preset will be displayed. Then right click on preset patch and select the files you want to hear, test
and/or save. So, yes, 11R window and rig displays are gone (PT11) but the small transport window allows you to work with the presets.

Thanks Sweet Water!!

I use an old laptop with PT8LE installed (and run whatever on my main DAW).
Then no additional iLok is needed

PS. I only use PT8LE for the purpose of editing/storing 11R presets (no recording on that old laptop).

What you are talking about is the Mini Window. Yeah that's been there in PT11 from the start.

However it does not allow you to adjust parameters, or save rigs to the computer.

You can use it to adjust volume, Load Rigs from the computer, and change the active rig.
