Default Boom! Boom-Boom! Boom!

Thanks to Benoni's invitation, I'd like to start a BOOM thread.

I do love natural drum's but I love electronic drums, too. Plus since LE 8, I've been able to program synth drums directly in PT without Rewire.

It would be nice to hear from other drummers tips & technics who use BOOM or integrate electronic & natural drums sounds.........all is possible!

BTW, does anyone know (if possible) how to import sounds into BOOM?

Love Boom, a modern touch on legendary drum machines. Ummm... a couple of tips, a virtual easter egg hold Ctrl (Win) Option or Command (Mac) and click here and don't forget about Pattern Chaining.

...and if you want to import your own samples buy Transfuser.

Thanx for the info & yes I've tried pattern chaining, it's quite nice. I find Boom more agreeable than ReDrum + it's made for PT. But I'll have to wait for Transfuser (308 €) though I've tried the demo. It's a monster machine, so many things rolled into one. It's quite scary, really....... REALLY!

I'm alittle afraid of getting 'loss in the sauce' sort of speak! Like it's gonna eat me or something! LOL! And thanx for the SC link! Peace!

Thanx Benoni, I'm glad you like the name. I take it as a compliment. I read a lot of your threads & replies, they've helped me alot. Please keep it up!

Yeah, Boom IS a cute but symple little program especially for noob's like me. I'm more of a singer than a musician plus I'm into Urban, R&B & House styles so, I love mixing electronic & natural drums to get new sounds.

I find that musicians prefer natural drums but the young listening crowds prefer synths. They often take natural drums & tweak them un-naturally. Always looking for something new!

Boom helps me stay within PT's, less 3rd party apps & plugs, less problems; runs more smooth. I know that its new to PT's, just patiently hoping for more variety in its banks later on, like ReDrum.

No, no, no, disagree, Boom is an old school style drum machine with capacity for complex pattern sequencing and sample playback that overs a lot of Dance genres. No Boom is not just for newbies.

You'd search Region View and Note View in the .pdf Pro Tools Reference Guide, no?

Boom fans who run Windows might be interested in using FLStudio's step sequener to control boom
