Default getting started with recording/mixing

i have pro tools 7.4 m-powered and an m-audio jamlab USB device connecting my guitar to my PC for playing/recording.

i'm new to pro tools and the whole home studio/mixing/recording setup, so hopefully all of this makes sense..

i want to be able to record a number of guitar tracks and then put them together as one track (i'm not sure if that's referred to as mixing or multitrack recording).

i would also like to add a drum track to the combined guitar track so that i have a single audio track that includes my guitar recordings and drum track.

first, is this possible with the setup that i have?

second, if adding the drum track is doable, is it possible to edit the drum track?

any help is greatly appreciated.

The documentation is a PDF file on your computer that was delivered when you installed. Go to Help menu and it should display. Here is a some vids to get you started on You Tube

Late to this thread. Got to check these forums more! While some Youtube videos are great, not all are. For mixing I found these very good

Mixing pop in pro tools is real nice.
I'm a happy subscriber at macprovideo.com. and their current offer is 25% discount on subscription. Highly recommend it at full price and this is even better value -
