Re: Ergotron monitor arms
I've had one for years now. Currently it holds a 24" monitor over the master section of a rather large console. It's attached to the wall behind it. There is simply no other way I'd be able to get this (or any) monitor where I want it. It was $300., but more than worth it.

Re: Ergotron monitor arms
I've finally decided to get two of these because I'm gonna be adding another monitor or two to my workspace and can't fit them any other way. I was looking at a dual one but the singles are way cheaper and more flexible so I'm just gonna go that route.

Re: Ergotron monitor arms
The difference between those two mainly seems to be a different design and monitor size/weight capability. The cheaper one says it supports up to a 22" 18lb monitor and the more expensive one a 24" 20lb monitor. I currently have two 22" LCDs that I'm planning to mount but I would like to have the option to move up to a 24" later. I looked up the weight of a 24" and it was 15lbs without the stand which leads me to believe that they would work just fine on the cheaper Ergotron since it doesn't exceed the 18lb mark. I think the monitor sizing is more of a guideline than an actually limitation unless dealing with one of the multi-monitor stands. I'm just gonna go by the weight limit since the VESA mount size is the same.

Re: Ergotron monitor arms
The quality and ergonomics of the Ergotron Products is really great.
On the C24 room we have exactly the product that WildHoney mentions, mounted on an Argosy C24 Furniture, with (2) 22' Samsung Displays. We omly needed to trim a bit the mounting pole of the Ergotron. |
