Default Slate Trigger Outputs

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if the samples in Trigger can be output to separate aux inputs so that you can have Pro Tools faders for control of each track/sample?

I know Battery works this way as well as BFD, but I cannot figure out a way to make Trigger do it - perhaps it can't?

Thanks!
Sig

You mean have Snare direct, Snare OH, Snare rooms come up on separate PT faders?

Correct! Or, load in multiple direct samples and have them come out on separate PT faders, same thing.

Thanks!

Pretty sure you can't do that. Workaround by duplicating the track off of which you want to trigger and load your Trigger samples one per track on each of those duplicates.

Ya, that certainly works. Just a workflow thing, as well as CPU usage I would imagine - ie. 1 plugin with multiple samples loaded likely takes less CPU than multiple instances loaded, I would imagine?

Thanks,
Sig

I'd imagine you're right about that. Still, doesn't seem to bog down my system all that much even when I use that workaround for 4-8 tracks. And if you're willing to print them. . .

I have asked for a feature request like that to Slate Digital. I'd recommend that you also send a request. The more requests, the better.

Has the output request been implemented?

Nope, and never will be I'm told. Slate is an audio processing plugin, NOT an instrument, and thus will never have this feature.

Another workaround, but one that will save you in the processing department is just dial in your triggering and duplicate the track, load up all of your different samples and print them to new audio tracks. If what you want is separate processing control for multi-layered samples this is probably your best option.
