Pro Tools Freezing When Closing and Quitting

When I close my session, Pro Tools beach balls and takes ah minute, sometimes 2 to close.
If I quit Pro Tools it does the same thing.
Also, in one of my other sessions, when I select a track at any point to edit, its size
goes medium, and it centers on the screen. I'm sure this is a shortcut I've hit by accident.
I haven't figured which one it is though. If anyone can help me with one or both of the problems,
I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
I'm running:
Pro Tools 7.3.1 HD3, 96 I/O
Mac OS X, V 10.4.9
2 X 2.66 Dual Core Intel Xeon
1 GB 667 MHX DDR 2 FB-DIMM

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum, specifically those areas on trashing preference and database files.

You may want to look at the Help us help you thread as well.

You need to up your ram,I use too have the same problem untill I went from 2GHz to four GHz,even with all kinds of stuff going on/multiple eqs,compressor ect.I no longer have that problem,seriously get you some more ram and you will o.k
