Default Problems with SOUND, AUX, and SENDS

can anyone let me know why my sound stops working when i'm in my pt 7? i think it might be because i have to much stuff on my mac os x.. is there any good ways to clean up my computer / get my volume to start working all the time without having to restart my mac?
AND.. how do i use an AUX track with something like d verb to affect my one of my MIDI tracks?
thanks

Backup and delete old files. Do you have lots of applications open all at once?
Not a midi user, but if I want to affect a single track in the manner you are seeking, my steps:

-Open new aux track.
-Set the output of the track I want to affect (let's say it's a track with trumpet on it) to a seperate bus say "bus 1".
-Set the input of the aux track I just created to "bus 1"
-add whatever reverb to my aux track...should only affect whatever is being sent to that bus.

Not being a "midi" guy though, you'll have to take this info with a grain of salt...perhaps someone more 'midi-literate' will chime in with a better response. I use this more for EQ'ing a track of music that's going under a VO or something when I don't want it to interfere with the voice.

hope that helps...

If you bus the Send rather than the Output of the track you want to affect, you can use the fader of the send to control the amount of dry vs. wet. You get more control over the amount of reverb applied this way.
