Have you checked your Avid account? Installers are usually to be found there

See the Pro Tools 10 Information thread at the top of the Pro Tools 10 Discussion forum.

Click on the Pro Tools 10 FAQ in that post, then on this FAQ:
I just purchased a Pro Tools System or v9 Upgrade, do I qualify for a free upgrade?

The key is making sure you have registered your Pro Tools 9 product.

I don't have access to your registration or purchase records, so you would have to check with Avid customer service. What I would do is check your Avid account and look in all of the info there, including:

Your Products
Products Not Yet Downloaded
Activate & Download Your Product

You may have something there you have overlooked.

Also there in your Avid account...
Orders
View Order History

Check your order history for 2011 and see if the crossgrade you purchased is there, with the same email address as your account.

I bought my upgrade from PT8HD to PT9HD between 10/1/2011 and 10/20/11 but I registered in 11/1 and never got any information on the free upgrade.

Not just saw this thread today.
Is there anyway to fix this. Of course, Avid wants me to *BUY* a code to get support to talk to someone. SHEESH!!!!!!!!

I'm not interested in PT11 because my hardware is now orphaned which is why I would up searching and finding this thread. AVID is anyone listening???

can anyone help?
where is the best place to talk to avid or something thats not gonna cost me money.

i got PT7 when i was at college, but couldnt afford a computer that would run it, then i bought a macbook pro after lots of saving and upgraded to pt9, ive not really used it much due to a few problems with my mbox 2. so i would love a change to get PT10 but cannot afford to but it. ive had a total of around 2 hours on a working system since 2008 ish. im loosing faith if im honest so this would really bump my confidence in a useable system for the average person wanting to learn as much as possible.
