Default How Good is 2020.12?

hey guys

I read and heard good things about 2020.12 and I was wondering if it would sense to upgrade because I`m still havin minor stability problems with 2020.9.1 - nothing dramatic but a few unexpected quits every week

now I`m NOT looking for new features at all - only more stability

my system:

Protools 2020.9.1 on mojave 10.14.6
running on both a macbook pro i7 15 inch 2019 all SSD and 32GB ram
latest plugin versions installed

Stability improves greatly once you ditch that Mojave (on clean install) and use Catalina instead

No stability issues here: Mojave / 2020.12

That was the case for me as well. I wasn't experiencing major bugs, but didn't realize how often I was dealing with latency where it wasn't necessary. Scrolling, moving audio clips, navigating plugins, etc. After jumping into Catalina, these latencies nearly went away. Had I not switched, I'd not have known that PT could be faster/better.

This is the case for Finder-level activities as well. The whole system feels faster. Ditching 32-bit apps has its benefits.

I like it but there is an odd eq/comp graphic on the top that I don’t know anything about.

What do you mean by odd? That it exists or something else? On the top of what - tracks in the mixer? That's been available in PT for quite a few versions now but not every eq or comp supports it - only Avid's AFAIK.

I have 5 support tickets open, 4 of them acknowledged as bugs by CS. That's how good it is...

Can you elaborate on the nature of those bugs?
