Default frequency analizer plugins?.

would this be a good tool to invest in for an amature engineer like me?...im figuring with this kind of plugin i could automatically see the"problematic frequencies"on a wave file or give me a better idea of how i could mix my music with this info....is this a good idea?

also...who makes these plugins?

There good. I'd recommend Ionizer 1.3 by Arboretum. It not only anylizes the frequency but will steal the eq curve from an already mastered song and you can apply it to your own.
Not only that but they're good for reference also.

If you can afford it, the analyzers that come with the Waves Gold and Platinum Bundles are extremely useful...and you get all the other Waves plugs to boot!

They are only good if you know what your doing. If you know what your doing you don't need them.

Say you use an eq setup from another really good mix.
Then you take your mix and eq it the same way.
If you have acoustic guitar eq set up in the wrong frequency then the wrong eq will get boosted or cut. You may not have the same instruments in the same frequencies.
Say you have a guitar track as part of the mix and you do not have the bass rolled off. Then you copy another mix that sounds good but it is boosting the bass guitar. It will now boost your lows on your acoustic track.
It might work though if you used it on individual instruments first.
The best way is to practice. You will get it.
