Searching the Ref Manual
While the manual covers everything in great detail, my biggest beef with it is that often it is hard to find something you're looking for using the search mechanism, because if you don't have the exact term or phrase, you come up empty. This happens with me all the time, and I have spend a lot of time trying to search the index and chapters for what I'm looking for simply because I might not have the exact word or phrase used in the manual.
Secondly, the entire section on the re-linking files should be re-written. I recently ran into a re-linking issue and even though I read the section FIVE TIMES, I had no idea what it said and was no closer to resolving the issue. The re-linking files thing is very complex and not simple to use at all, as far as my experience goes. Wish there was a much better explanation of it, explaining in simpler terms exactly how it works, how files get unlinked or lost, and specific steps to keep it from happening, as well as step by step how to re-link. ie, click on this, when you see this, click that, etc. Needs to be step-by-step. I have NEVER understood it, even though I've tried multiple times.
