Default Protools rewire issue

Hi,

I am running Pro tools 10.3.8(Maverick) with Reason (re-wired). Everthing in the past has been working well.

However, I went to instruments in the PT the other day and Reason had disappeared…gone. Unable to link the two anymore.

I think it may have something to do installing software to run my new Novation 25sl MKII. Novation gave me some Auto mapping software so I can run PT, Reason and Ableton.
I have a feeling this may have screwed up the ability for Rewire to link PT and reason. Additionally, when I open Abelton live i receive this message (ReWire requires OpenTransport to be installed on MacOS), not sure if that is related.

you advice on how to fix please?

Thank you
Gub

This same exact thing happened to me except I'm using protools 11 and Reason ReWire, but it can no longer find it. I suspect that it may have to do with a waves rewire file that Reason is somehow mistaking for it's own? Do you own Waves Tune plugins? Or have you installed another plugin that has Rewire recently?

No i havent got Wave tune...I'll have a look at it.

I have Reason that runs rewire (well used to), but I have recently loaded Ableton Live that came with my MkII.

I think it may have to do with the Automap software that I now run with the MkII. I found a solution on line.....'remove Digirewire plug from Automap's Plugin Manager'.......but do you think I can find this pluggin in the Automap manager. Noooo

I think it's an issue when upgrading the OS to 10.9.1 versus 10.9.

Not supported should not mean not working.

No; not supported means it may or may not work and it's up to you to figure out why and Avid won't help with it.

Rewire may not be working because of being used in conjunction with PT10 on Mavericks for which PT10 was not approved. One of those things where if one link of the chain is faulty the rest may not hold together.

I'm on 10.8.5 OS and upgraded to 10.3.8 PT and PT crashes EVERYTIME now when it hits the Digirewire.dpm scan. I've tried EVERYTHING. I cannot get PT to load with this plugin. if I pull it out everything is fine. I need it to work with Source connect SeRewire. Can anyone help?
