Pro Tools failing to authenticate with iLok cloud

Hi, I'm Tad and this is my first post . Of course I've come here for help.

I've been using Pro Tools with no issues for several months but suddenly, last Friday, I am receiving an error message: License Verification Error - Pro Tools Perpetual. I've attached a screenshot of the error and my ILok License Manager.

This is irksome as all of my software is up to date and the monthly Pro Tools subscription is active and valid according to iLok License Manager and my account with Avid. My internet is rock solid and is not the cause of the issue either. I've opened up a ticket with Avid but I have no idea if it will ever be looked at.

I have class this Saturday for Pro Tools 110, and since we are learning remotely, I really need to get this sorted by then.

I've thought about just exercising the nuclear option and uninstalling and reinstalling everything, but thought I'd check here first.

Is your internet connection wired or wireless? If the latter can you go to a wired connection? Is there any reason you're not using a physical iLok? Much better.

Oh a physical iLok is very much in at the top of my shopping list :)

I was able to get it started again by deactivating the license in Avid Link and then reactivating when I started Pro Tools, with the iLok Cloud set-up wizard (or whatever one calls it). Problem solved :)

Physical license key will really solve your problems for good. Seems your internet connection is not up to the task.
