This is an updated post re how to get free pluggos into Protools

OK, i'll do a summary of the Pluggo "free" path for OSX, sort of a thread summary.

First of all, install Pluggo Runtime from

(NOT the full demo/app) of Pluggo

This will install various files on your computer, including a "Pluggo-RTAS" file in :
Library - Application Support - Digidesign - Plug-ins (where your standard Protools plug-ins live)

it will also create a folder called "Pluggo" in Library - audio - plug-ins - VST.

Download the free pluggos from the links below, and put them into that Pluggo folder.

You will then be able to insert these instruments/FX into audio, auxiliary and instrument tracks in Protools.

* Some of these are still OS9 pluggos, but still work in OSX. You can read through this thread again to see which of these OS9 ones will still work under OSX

* Universal Binary pluggos will NOT work on non-Intel compters

Also, you can get more free pluggos by installing Pluggo Jr from http://www.cycling74.com/products/dlpluggo.html

This will triple the amount of free rtas plugs available for OSX. We'll need a new list soon. The VST wrapper will of course open flood gates but the great thing about pluggo runtime is that it is totally free from start to finish & most of the plug-ins are of really good quality.

Just been on the Gleetchplug site & Tobor is saying sometime in February for Gleetchplug.
