Best adaptor? Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort 1.2 …for a monitor

Hi all

Soon I will be getting a new MacPro (the new design)

To get stereo digital audio out (S/PDIF) of this MacPro I’ll likely get the OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock.

(I dont want to buy a separate interface for this purpose, and the OWC dock will serve multiple purposes.

I can run 6 feet from the Mac Pro to the OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock… then I need to run about another 10 feet to get to my pair of computer monitors.
One monitor I can hook up DisplayPort 1.2 directly to the OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock

The other monitor (Display Port 1.2) I’d like to hook up to the Thunderbolt 3 port on the OWC dock.
* * Any recommendations for the best, most reliable Thunderbolt 3 -> Display Port 1.2 adapter cable? I’d need to go about 10 feet total here, so perhaps an adapter and also a cable?

Someone senior in the MacPro tech support department at Apple recommended this specific 5’ Moshi adapter

and then I could extent the DP1.2 with one of these 6’ extensions - to get me the 10’ I need. (11 feet with the 2 items I suggest above)

Any other adapters you think might work better?

Hey, that’s cool. I didn’t know that dock had optical audio.

For additional display ports, I used OWC’s dual TB3 to DisplayPort. It’s been working well. I’ve been able to run my main screen at 1440 @85hz refresh.

Slightly OT, but I have an OWC dock and I'm using the dock's optical out into the optical input of my Omni to monitor everything but Pro Tools. It works great!! And as a bonus, I can use that optical input on the Omni to record any Mac sound into Pro Tools.
