FYI, I am running a 2008 model 8 core with PT HD 9 Native. Installed it and worked perfectly well (well with a some tweeks here and there).

Latency is non-noticible and I do a ton of ADR. Although I did ready every manual for PT 9 HD, HD OMNI (yes one of them was around 1000 pages I think). Every answer you could possible need is all in there and for some odd reason in layman's terms).

Wow, someone who actually read the manual.....I bet you are in a very small group around these parts

I'll be honest, reading all of them from page to page (except midi stuff, since I don't use that) was not an easy feat, it was easier mixing a 5.1 Feature film oddly enough. I did post this somewhere a while ago, but as a result of this, my HD OMNI is efficiantly replacing 3-4 rack mount units and saving me 2-3 times it's cost. It's feeding a 5.1 surround system, a pair of auratones, and a stereo TV, 3 headphone outs, Mic pre going in via spdif, feeding stereo dorrough's via spdif, Korg Triton Keyboard going in lightpipe, macpro going in to hear anything off the mac like itunes or web and still have the two 1/4"/XLR inputs on the front available. And the numbers on the volume knob are calibrated down to % .01 so when it reads 80, I am getting 80.

Not too shabby for reading something. Even mentioned my config to some avid guys at expos and they were like, whoa really?
I don't think the HD OMNI will be replaced for a very long time and it sounds amazing (except for the fan that kicks in after 3-4 hours, not an issue when mixing, but when doing DX editing with softpassages or adr/vo, it's annoying).
