Default Re: New Pro Tools Mbox Personal Recording Systems

my mbox pro box says "high definition desktop pro tools studio". The other two mboxes say something different. does that mean the mbox pro is a HD interface? "high definition" and "HD" are the same thing right? I know it says it can do 24/192khz, but PT 8 le (included) can't. I'm planning on crossgrading either way. If I could go "hd" I likely would, but It cost to much to be guessing.. thanks for the help. :)

They mention High definition because the Mbox Pro goes up to 192k sample rate, whereas the other Mboxes don't, according to the specs.

i also have the Zoom HD16 that i use to record my drum tracks on. it has a USB hook up, as well as a MIDI in/MIDI out. i tried hooking it up through USb, but my computor won't recognize the Zoom HD16. I had a guy that has used my Zoom and dumped tracks, but he changed his number so idk how he did it or if he had a diff version of PT. I just started using PT 2 days ago(3-23-11) and i hope i installed everything right.(saving things to the right hard drives) once i get my drum tracks in, then i can hopefully begin to use the SSD EX Plug-in. PLEASE HELP!

Question Re: New Pro Tools Mbox Personal Recording Systems

Just bought the Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 mbox mini bundle. Installed the software on my IBM Thinkpad T42. Before I upgraded my memory I only had about a gig of memory. A few things like QuickTime didn't get installed because an "error " popped up.(I didn't realize that i was missing QUICKTIME until i tried dragging a beat to a track and the pop-up window told me I couldn't do this action w/out QUICKTIME. My question is this:"because I have more ram, (1.5g) should i uninstall/re-install Pro Tools, or is there another way to just update and retreive missing files?

Question Re: New Pro Tools Mbox Personal Recording Systems

HELLO WORLD!! I HAVE PRO TOOLS LE8, EVERYTHING WORKS FINE, HOWEVER I WANT TO SWITCH FROM MBOX 2 to an MBOX 2 "MINI". Should I just be able to plug it in and get to work? Like I said I am running PT LE8 with 8.0.5 updates, everything works fine, but I'm just recording vocals with 1 mic, and trading FROM MBOX 2 to MBOX 2 MINI..
