basic monitoring question
Hey guys,
How do I set up a 2nd pair of powered monitors to my 002r so that I can quickly toggle between monitors? Thanks, C |

Re: basic monitoring question
Check out one of these:
http://www.sweetwater.com/c417--Monitor_Management The Mackie Big Knob and Presonus Central Station are very popular. The ProCo also looks promising and reasonably priced, but ALL it does is switch monitors. The less expensive ones like the Samson will also do the job, but may add some coloration.

Re: basic monitoring question
You can route all your tracks to a bus instead of an analog output, source two auxiliaries from that bus, each aux feeds a different stereo pair of analog output, and just mute the output you don't want - it's dirty and not very quick. Maybe other people have better ideas.
If you have a bit of money you can buy the Samson C-control, Mackie Big Knob, Presonus Central Station or similar products. Cubase has a feature (called Control Room) letting you do this very easily. Maybe Digidesign will implement something similar in Pro Tools. Cheers, |
