Default Reason 64 bit via rewire?

I can't see the Reason plugin (via rewire). Everything else in PT 11 is working for me, and Reason works fine in stand-alone mode. I am able to see/use Melodyne singletrack (64 bit) via rewire so rewire appears to be working, in general.
Running Windows 7 64 bit. I uninstalled PT and Reason then installed PT 11, then installed Reason 6.5.3 64 bit version.

Any ideas?
Anyone have Reason working via rewire in PT 11 on Windows?

Yeah, funny, I was just working on a video about this but I got side tracked with Eleven Rack stuff.

Make sure you LAUNCH Reason in standalone after you install it, and set it up and make sure its working in standalone ect...

Then you can close Reason.

Launch PT11, create your Stereo Instrument track or AUX track. Go to your inserts and Instruments or if you have Category AND Manufacturer checked you can go to Avid

Reason should be in there. Click it, let it open, then set your routing.

I did this using Reason 7.

Thanks for the reply Benoni. I tried all of what you mentioned but it still does not show up under instruments plugins.

Are you sure the 64 bit version is installed and that your version is compatible with PT11?

I'm not on PT11, but this may work. If you command+i the Reason icon in the applications folder, is it ticked to open in 32-bit mode? If so, uncheck it. Worth a try!

Still struggling with this. Thanks for the replies.
In Windows you have to go out of your way to install the 32 bit version of Reason (using /32 option), so I'm confident I have the 64 bit version of Reason.

Hey Kachunk,

Yep, worked a little on it yesterday.... Win7pro 64, reason 6.5 64bit, PT 11 demo (non HD)....

Showed up under "Instruments" as normal... No fancy installation hoops taken. The demo is actually on our "b" room comp that uses reason 6.5 & the balance interface. PT 11was surprisingly solid on this all day yesterday.

Unfortunately, this doesn't really aid in solving your prob...

No, actually that helps quite a bit. I was wondering if this was a global problem but your post tells me I have something wrong specific to my machine. I'll have to keep digging deeper. Thanks for all the replies.

I'm assuming that I will need to upgrade my version of Reason since I'm still on v4 for it to be compatible with Pro Tools 11?
