Pro Tools and Garage Band

Hey I was wondering if anyone was having troubles with Garageband and PT being the potential problem.

I have PT9 and it works ok but when I try to load up Garageband its unable to open and gets stuck on initializing. I then proceed to contact apple support and they came up with the conclusion that it seems like its something PT was doing because when I ran safe mode we got it to open up but then their seemed to be asking something about pace drivers. So in short I guess my question is, is their someway PT can mess up GB and if there is, is there a way to fix it without having to reinstall the OS?

Im running 10.7.1
2.2 Ghz unter core i7
4 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3
PT9 with M-Audio Fast Track Ultra

I'm also experiencing this and it's very frustacting.
It's not just Garage Band. Try to open the MIDI window under "Audio MIDI Setup" and you will also realize that MIDI window loads forever.
However, you're likely to be able to open the same applications once Pro Tools is running.
