Routing Audio
WE have three audio guitar tracks, we are mixing to one mono track. WE want to send that mono track to a short delay and record it on to another thus getting stereo. What is the best way to accomplish this?

Re: Routing Audio
you doing this with an actual mixing board or just in PT? If in PT you would pretty much assign the track to an Aux after you add your delay to it and then setup a second track to record the input of the Aux channel. Or... You could try just setting up a Stereo track if you are attempting to duplicate and then add delay which would not be the same effect... If you did that though, just remember to add about 3db compression to the track to get it back up to 0db.
If you're doing it with a mixer, I would run the out to your delay units input, and then run the delay output to the channel on your mixer that you wish to record. Sounds to me like you are doing this in PT though correct? goodluck |
