Default Fabfilter Pro EQ-2

What do you guys think about this....?

I am looking for a top shelf, transparent EQ, a go to EQ that will satisfy all of my Equalizing needs......

Seriously - Top shelf and transparent, musical if you will. I am not looking for color....what do you guys think about it?

My ears don't really go for the Avid Channel Strip's EQ, I do like the Metric Halo channel strip EQ. I like the Cambridge EQ from UA, but looking for something native.....and maybe for lack of a better word, Top shelf? idk

Yes and I plan to demo, just haven't had the chance.....

FabFilter Pro-Q 2 is an excellent static EQ - very transparent with a nice selection of filters and slopes. Low CPU usage.

DMGAudio Equilibrium offers similar audio quality and transparency.

If you're looking for something in the "dynamic" category, I highly recommend HOFA IQ-EQ - this certainly qualifies as "top shelf"!

Pro Q 2 sounds great. Resizable GUI, EQ matching, 96db slope etc. The spectrum grab feature is really handy.

I'm loving this thing! I've used it on dobro tracks, fiddle tracks, bass tracks, snare tracks, banjo tracks, acoustic guitar tracks....
There's, for lack of a better term, a "musicality" about it that I don't seem to get with other EQs (and I have a LOT of other EQs!)
QUITE glad to have this in my arsenal.

Since I'm an instructor and make recommendations, I got the faculty discount. So it was indeed $99.99. Worth every cent, too.
