So, having created a Mavericks Partition some time ago for test purposes I've done very little with it, as there were plenty of problem reports with that version (11.9.0). I didn't see much point in experimenting when there was plenty of anecdotal evidence of flakiness.

A few days ago, I thought, well, its looking a bit more stable mow, plenty of people here are using it, maybe its about time I started my own testing of it.

So, I reformatted the partition, downloaded and installed it, got the various drivers that I need installed after making sure they are the latest, and then installed PT11.2.1

However, I'm reluctant to devote much time to testing, as the only downloadable Mavericks is 10.9.5 and Avid has only just qualified 10.9.4, as per Bruce's original post on this thread.

Is it worth me starting my testing, or am I best just letting that partition lie unused until Avid qualifies 10.9.5?

What are other users experiences of 10.9.5 like? Any known problems as compared to 10.9.4?

No issues to report.

AFAIK, the 10.9.5 vs 10.9.4 battle is quite the same as 10.8.5 vs 10.8.4 -- and just as I noticed 10.8.4 was the one that made it sing, 10.9.4 looks like it follows the suit.

And that said, PT 11.2.1 already works rather fine with Yosemite as well :)

I just installed 10.9.5 on an additional drive with a parallel setup to my 10.8.5 drive in the same machine. So far so good. Have run test sessions but haven't recorded nor bounced yet.

My biggest issue so far was iTunes needing to be reinstalled but all other audio apps seem to be ok. Also labels have been replaced with tags. I like the way labels worked.

We'll see.
