Our intention is that Pro Tools | Control will grow over time to be a really full featured companion app to Pro Tools, as well as a huge feature addition to existing control surfaces.

JC

Thanks:) I'd like to see a way to setup macros, and Key commands on the Ipad. I've got a Artist mix and Transport so being able to that will be really cool.

Default New Avid Protools Control for IPad

I really don't see the problem, if you have to pay for some functions of the app. It costs to develop this stuff. Most guys will be happy with the free version. I really don't enjoy the level of Avid hate on this forum this days. I can understand some frustration but now it's way out of proportions.

This is disinformation. I don't know what purpose it serves.

Softkeys are part of the free Mixer View.

Currently softkeys are built like with any other EuControl driven surface.

Hey JC - further to some 'thinking out aloud' discussions in the Artist series forum some time ago (speculating on what could be done if Avid were to build their own controller app - may be worth reviewing those threads?), is there anything you could do through Avid's control of both Eucon and AAX to get proper plugin control using 3P GUIs ... maybe with plugin developers including a controller-friendly version of their GUI in future 'compatible with Pro Tools | Control' versions?

JC - if you're asking for fantasy-wish list stuff (and how much fun is that?) the ultimate I think would be to have an on-screen channel strip for the active channel, and highlighting (say) an insert would produce the plugin right there on the iPad.

No need for a Mac or Windows version of control software for Pro Tools, since you already have access to all the controls.

EDIT: I must have misunderstood. You meant for windows tablets, probably
