64 bit requires major rewriting.

When? No one knows.

I am no expert on DigiDesigns internal software development plan.

I am just telling you how it is today.

For the software to run on x64, essentially requires nothing new, as WoW takes care of all that. However, the problem would be with the device drivers for the hardware, which have to be 64bit, and Digi has not released any 64bit drivers.

To make the application actually 64bit, rather than 32bit running under WoW, requires a recompile with the new 64bit compilers. Hardly a major rewrite. However with the amount of time Digi takes with ensuring compatability of everything they release, I wouldnt hold your breath.

I imagine the audio engine since its based on 32 bit floating point would need a major rewrite to make porting to 64 bit a worthwile improvement is all I was saying.

TDM is 48 but fixed ( I think) because thats what the DSP cards run.
