I hope that's not the case. Software releases right before a drop-dead date can sometimes have relaxed code-push restrictions more-so than a release before a normal project deadline.

So you think it should be later?

PT11 has been in the works for years. This is the quarter they think they can get it out the door. Sure, some of that is a business decision because a release like this creates revenue, but it's got to come out sometime and the Devs must think it's time!

Whatever are you talking about?

Remember, this is the interwebs. Simple, clear cut language works best. Subtlety gets lost, sarcasm often missed, insinuations disappear.

LOL

Spot on there Drew

Let's hope for release this month but as Myself and others stated here before: I rather wait a bit longer for Avid to make sure this PT version is "Really Ready" for us users with as little bugs and other creatures as possible

I wanna use PT11HD from version 11.0 instead of waiting for 11.3.4 to get 100% problem freeeeee usage

Avid : make it good will'ya

The old saying, "Software design is like having a baby. It takes one woman nine months. If you have 100 women, it still takes nine months."

There is a list of features Avid has describing the first shipment of PT11. They might not be able to fully complete the list before their deadline. I'm sure great pressure is on the team to ship a working product before the end of the fiscal quarter.

Lets hope the launch is not marred with too many incomplete features.

BTW, PT10.3.3 is working great with 10.8.3.

I've pre-ordered from Sweetwater and my invoice says something about "dispatch by 29th May" whatever that means.

I've registered for the MediaSpec demo + Q&A event in Glasgow on 30th May (the one that Righty linked us to). Compered by Pro Tools Expert!

1) I hope they have something to show us ;-)

2) Is anyone from here going? Maybe a beer or two and a lunchtime curry on the day? Hate eating on my own, but I'll brave it if I have to!

Maybe the PT11 reference guide will be living on my iPad by then ;-)
