Default Pro tools 9 with multiple ilok authorization
Is there a way to get the PT9 authorization on more than 1 Ilok? I do a lot of editing on my laptop and want to leave the studio functional while I am off and about. I used to be able to do this by using an mbox on the laptop, but now it needs the ilok to run. Is buying 2 versions of PT 9 the only work around for this?

Hmm.. what if the ilok key we have gets lost or damaged? it almost happened to me. Any ilok backup posibility?

The same thing could be asked of a $1000.00 plug-in bundle on an iLok. They (McDSP, Sonnox, Waves, et al) don't issue multiple iLok licenses either.
Zero downtime is the best way to go. $30.00 a year is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Hi,

Zero downtime as great for all your auths bought new and registered as the owner!!

But any auths that were bought second hand or ebay etc and you are not the registered owner then you're in trouble.

The ilok thing could be a PITA for me too.
My MBP only has two USB ports.
Can the Digi hardware no longer be used as the dongle ?

What about the PT9 (Non HD version)
Can I use that without an ilok and use the Mbox2 as a dongle ?
