How to go about getting email or phone support?
I would assume that with a purchase of Pro Tools 9 crossgrade I'm entitled to some kind of technical support beyond unpaid users in a forum.
My PT9 package didn't come with any kind of access code, I had some unhelpful woman on a phone line offer to give me a premium rate telephone number (yeah..) -- how do I go about contacting support on this issue, in the UK? |

Have you registered your product online yet? You're supposed to get a complimentary ASC via email which gives you free support when you register a new product. See this article:

Re: How to go about getting email or phone support?
Technical support is intended only for technical problems with Avid products. Due to the high volume of calls and Avid's commitment to helping users as quickly as possible, we are unable to provide in-depth tutorial advice. Technical support for products that are not manufactured or distributed by Avid is not available. Please contact the company that makes that product for Avid.
You are entitled to submit up to ten (10) complimentary online support cases through our online Support Center for 60 days from date of registration. You are also entitled to one (1) complimentary assisted support case via chat (where available) and phone during this 60 day period. http://www.avid.com/US/support/ascEn...ools_Mbox_Mini I don't see any software upgrades listed, only hardware.
