I also have an MBP 13" that I have been using several firewire interfaces over the past two years. What 'adapter' are you referring to?

I have been using a FW800 to FW400 cable and it has performed perfectly - is that what you are referring to?

Specifically I do not have an MB Pro but was just wondering what adapter you were referring to. You might also want to try a cable such as I am describing.

Thanks,

I am using the adaptor that ships with the Mbox Pro bundle. I believe it is the firewire 400 to 800 adaptor. Could this be an issue?

Cheers,

Jamie

It certainly shouldn't be since it is the one shipped with hardware (unless it is faulty).

I agree with Z above - but it seems worth isolating and a FW800 to 400 cable is worth having in your kit anyway imho.
