Pro Tools/MPD24 hanging issues

Recently upgraded from the MPD16 to the MPD24 drum pad from Akai. I am running Pro Tools 7.1 software with Mbox 2 on a PC system.

anyone using this setup will help greatly, specifically the MPD24.

As of upgrading to the MPD24 pro tools no hangs on exit and i have to restart windows xp pro to get my system right. This seems to be and issue with the way the MPD24 handles midi. it is the only thing i can think of. while runnning pro tools (with reason and battery 3) there is no problem. i have the mpd24 sending MMC messages to control the playback in pro tools. however when i am finished in pro tools and shut down (after closing reason), pro tools executable will not close, no matter what i do. and the only way to get out of this situation is by rebooting the computer. i did not have this problem with the mpd16, i have since uninstalled the uni quest software that came with the mpd24 but that has not solved the issue. i also notice that now when i open reason via rewire, some of my midi settings have been altered in reason, interestingly enough my m-audio radium 49 has no problems.

again i only run into issues when shutting down pro tools, not while the system is up and running.

You'll need to give more information. How is the MPD24 configured in your system? Through the MIDI in/out ports? USB? I have a MPD 24 and I have no problems using it with my 002 rack. Can you post your cofiguration here?
