Default PT 11 upgrade to 2020 or new licence?

Hi Guys,

I have PT 11.3.0 and thinking of getting the latest PT (2020?) on subscription. Mainly as I've got a few plugins behaving a bit strange and think the update might be the answer.

I'm eligible for the education pricing and wondering....

- can I keep my 11.3.0 licence and just get a new licence for 2020? (rather than upgrading/crossgrading).

- if so I could theoretically go back to using 11.3.0 if I ever needed to?

- should I buy from Avid? (there's currently 25% off which seems good!)

- what happens if if I don't renew my subscription after the year? Does it still work but i'm 'stuck' on whatever the latest update I have is? Or stop working completely?

Thanks!
