2019 Video Engine Bug
Hi, I've recently updated from PT11 to PTU 2019.10 but I'm struggling with getting video to be displayed via a Blackmagic decklink mini monitors HDMI output. Along with the update the OS went from Mavericks to Mojave, update not fresh install.
I've found a video it likes (h264 .mp4), I can import this and it will play fine. Any video I import after this will play fine. If I import any other video first, I get no output on the TV but I can see it in the PT Video window. It seems it breaks the output, I can work around it by deleting all the videos from the clip list and removing all the video tracks, importing the known good video and then the video I want. I've tried using a AJA Kona LHi video card but its no better. I've tried 2019.12 I'll try 2019.6.... iMac with Decklink mini monitor in a magma chassis Many Thanks |

Re: 2019 Video Engine Bug
Hi Ben,
I would convert all your videos to the DNxHD codec and only use that codec for all video playback. remove any other videos that have a different codec from your PT session. Then import the DNxHD ones. Good luck |
