Default RAM CACHE not showing up in playback engine

Hey every one. I am having a problem with my Pro Tools.

-Protools 10.3.6 (Native)
-imac i7
-osx 10.9

I have never been able to get the Ram Cache to show up in the playback engine. I have the music Production toolkit 2 (MPTK) installed and activated. Got it on clearance from guitar center last year. I already had Pro Tools 10 installed. I had to install all the instruments and plug-ins and they work but the wave cache does not show up. Looking at other threads it seems as though it is supposed to just show up and be available in the playback engine once the MPTK is activated.

Although some people say it is only HD, I am pretty sure RAM Cache is also available with the MPTK.

Have tried just reinstalling PT over itself but that doesn't work.
Of course Pro Tools uninstaller does not work with OSX 10.9... What the hell is that about!!!?? Still???? Pretty sure thats the osx my i7 iMac came with.

Should I try updating to 10.3.10? I am afraid of more incompatibility issues.

Why won't avid make a working uninstaller for PT 10 and OSX Mavericks?!! 2 years later? I own Pro Tools 11 but will not use it because most of my Plug-Ins are RTAS. This is BS, My computer came with Mavericks an PT 10 was the current software when Mavericks came out. It screams of Avid forcing people pay to upgrade to 11 when there are many disadvantages to 11.

Ive attatched screenshots to show it IS in fact authorized and not showing up.

Any ideas on the RAM Cache? Thanks

You will need the "Complete Production Toolkit", or PTHD for this feature. With Pro Tools 10, the MPTK only buys you the included plug-ins.

Timeline cache is a Pro Tools HD only feature (or yes accessible if you have CPTK)

want a trick.....that works for me?

any older HD asset on your ilok will unlock the Disk Cache feature in PT10.

I have an old 7.4HD asset and it has unlocked the PT10 diskcache feature for me for the past 3 years....People usually don't believe me though that's why I don't share it.

YMMV but it has worked for me.....and while I think I am special (wink wink) I am positive that the ilok manager does not think so......so if it works for me it should work for you.

Tried this with an old Pro Tools 7.2HD and 7.3HD iLok asset with Pro Tools 11 and it didn’t work..... Bummer...
