Where can I find the OLD installers?!
I need to revert to Pro Tools 11.0.1 and there's no installer to be found...
I know they're around somewhere... where can i find them?!

Re: Where can I find the OLD installers?!
Crizdee, there's no installer download on that page nor on any of the links on said page. It also doesn't appear in my Products in my avid account, I always get linked to the latest version.
I don't keep all my Pro Tools installers... whose got the HDD space for that?! Some installers can be found on the secure.avid.com sites, nobodies got a link to the one with 11.0.1 on it?

Re: Where can I find the OLD installers?!
I'm not personally familiar with any known issues where something would work in 11.0.1 and not in 11.0.2. Maybe there are, but for the purpose of your situation, why do you feel you need to revert to a previous version of PT 11?
If it is something that can be confirmed and reproduced, then we would like to know about it and proceed accordingly. Whether that means adding an older installer to Avid accounts, or a one off download. So...can you give some specific details and steps to reproduce? Thanks! |

Re: Where can I find the OLD installers?!
The previous one or two would only be a few gigs. Small price to pay to avoid the situation you're in now I'd say.

Re: Where can I find the OLD installers?!
@Bruce - Startup is ten times slower than in 11.0.1 on my machine after updating, and all the windows regularly freeze and playback sometimes crashes.
I've just uninstalled and re-installed, and while startup is still slow it seems more stable once it actually get's going. But 'Initializing Databases' and 'Initializing MIDI Engine' is taking FOREVER. It's not caused by any third-party plugin or software, this is stock tools. I don't really want to spend ages rooting around to fix it, I'd rather just revert and wait until the next version. I should know better than to update Pro Tools once you've got it running stable anyway really from previous experience... Bit unsure as to why the installers would be taken offline anyway though...

Re: Where can I find the OLD installers?!
After a re-install it's running stable now (seems to be anyway)... just not sure why it's taking so long to startup

I'd also look into replacing that green drive you have as that could be part of your problem depending on what you're using that drive for. Either way daw work is not one place you want to be green. |
