Punch Record Track Limit in PT 10
Is there a track limit in Pro Tools 10 for punch recording...?...I wanted to punch in while tracking drums and bass with 12 drum tracks and Pro Tools complained...Is there actually a track limit for Punch Record...?

Not that low. I do full band punch-ins(18 audio tracks in record-ready) without issue. Maybe your computer is underpowered, or you missed some tweaks? Hard to say when you've given zero details

Limited by voice count; you need two voices for every track you'll be punching.
