Default DUC collab track finished!

Hello folks of the DUC,

just wanted to let everyone know the track that fellow DUC users have been working on for the past three months roughly has been finished!

This is a project which was started July 20th, 2005 as a collaboration between friends. Andrew St. George and Charlie Naebeck came up with the idea on the Digidesign user conference message boards to do a track involving Pro Tools Software users around the globe. Charlie composed the original lyrics with just an acoustic guitar and sent it off to the group to lay down the instruments. Tracks were completed by participants and e-mailed online to Andrew and Charlie until they had enough to complete the track where Andrew mixed/mastered in Toronto, ON.

The song is about friends hanging out on the Digidesign Pro Tools message board, having a good time, and musicianship. Not to mention the occasional crack at the newbies whom invade the PT boards and fail to read the Pro Tools users guide...

The Track can be downloaded at:
http://www.charlienaebeck.com/ducthang.html in a full res .wav file

or you can listen to the track at:
http://www.myspace.com/ntertainmentgroupinc

Credits:

Andrew St. George from Toronto, ON: Drums, Bongos, Mix, Master + Tambourine/cowbell/BGvox

Charlie Naebeck from Ann Arbor, MI: Composer/Writer, Djembe, Lead Vox + BG vox

Kenny from Connecticut (aka Deaf Lime): Bass, BGvox + Harmonica/VO

Yoko Cruz from Mexico City, MX: Guitars

Danji from Dortmund, Germany: Keys, Organs, BGvox

Bruce Hayward from Canada: BGvox + VO

Josh: BGvox

Mala from Germany: BGvox

There's at least one "dude" on BGV that must have needed a lot of AutoTune/Melodyne

Cheers,

  • Really cool!

Amazing when you think how most of these guys have never even met.

I think they should offer the session to Digi to include on the PT7 installation disk as a demo.

Glad y'all are digging the track.

Karel: e-mailed the info to digi with the download link and never heard back so far... One would think they are busy fixing that "running outta DSP" line so we can overdub "have a lot of DSP" in the tune eh? anywho... I'm off to post in the Tea Room and then check out a new Djembe technique DVD that I scored this past weekend. peace

Can't stop singing it. Hanging on the D U C..... 30 people at work want me certified.

Great tune, Charlie does a great accent, Andrew - drums sound great on a Mac and Bruce, I'm buyin' what your selling. Very impressive guys. I'm not worthy.
