Default ExpressCard/34 Thunderbolt Adapter

For those with Thunderbolt laptops, here is an adapter than lets you use Express/34 cards.

This is great. Looking at the details I realize this could be used with the express card firewire, esata, or usb adapters, so it has all kinds of uses.

People can use existing "Quad Interface" drives with esata, into an adapter, into this with Thunderbolt. Which will help until we see actual Thunderbolt drives.

According to the press release, it comes out at the end of October, with an MSRP of $149 (which means dealers should have it even lower).

Those Sonnet guys seem to be really on top of the game these days. That MSRP is still a bit scary, but I imagine it coming down a lot within the next year or so.

Still, this solution would probably be a lot cheaper than finding an external with a TBolt connection, especially since a lot of people already have enclosures with FW, eSATA, USB, etc.
