Default Moving Sessions Around.. What to look out for please?

Hi all,

Hopefully...a quick and simple question..

I plan to MIX an album abroad in the next couple of months and will be taking my protools songs with me..(DOH!).

I will be burning the songs onto CD but I wonder what ISSUES I need to look out for....

The MIX studio pro tools set up is pretty much identical but where - for example - would my personal Virus presets reside...Are they on the song file or hidden somewhere on the system hard drive?

My amp farm set ups, reso and bruno, dverb, etc...

I'm sure many of you have done this before. I don't want to get to germany and realise that I have missed OFF a vital component from a track.

"S%£$...That SOUND WAS ESSENTIAL...and I forgot it"...scenario

What do I need to look out for.....

thanks

A) You need to verify that the studio is running the same (or later) version of Pro Tools. Make sure they own all of the plug-ins that you have used in your sessions. If not, and your plug-ins are authorized with iLok, you will have to install the plug-ins on their system and bring your iLok over to Germany with you.

B) You need to make sure you possess three vital components for every sessionin order to make this transition successful:

1-Session File
2-Audio Files
3-Custom Plug-in Settings

Since Pro Tools can rebuild them if not available, you need not clutter your CD-ROM's with Fade Files.

Your custom plug-in settings files should be installed in the DAE Folder>Plug-Ins Settings.
