It is shocking how they dropped the ball with the PT market. Well knowing TC shocking isn't the correct term but still...

That is actually good news. They have always been slow and PT had its first ARM beta in 2022.12 -- so hoping for an update this year is overly optimistic. If they deliver early 2024 I am happy with it.

Very true. My context is a bit different in that PT isn't my primary DAW and I wouldn't have minded if Lexicon had done what many other developers have and gone ahead and released AU and VST3 as ARM, and then update the AAX version later.

It may make sense to get them all at once now. Oh well... :)

I may have missed something -- did Lexicon suggest that all plugin platforms would deliver simultaneously?

No. That's merely my assumption. What reason would they have now, this late in the game, to do it any differently? All major DAWs are Apple Silicon native now including Pro Tools. That wasn't the case when many of the developers released VST3 and AU ARM versions but not AAX because Pro Tools wasn't AS-native yet. But again, what would the reason *today* not do do them all at once?

I don't like the mention of USB dongle-less operation, because together with simultaneous release among all plugin formats this sounds like they have been developing their own copy protection, dumping iLok.

But if it means iLok machine auth, then warmest welcome.

I suspect algorithmic reverb may involve using some of the Intel math engines. That could make porting pretty complicated.
