Dumping sounds from PTF and playing them on Akai mpc2000xl help!
After I run a sound through the effects proccesor like SansAmp-psa1 and get the sound the way I want it, I dump it and try to load it on my mpc2000xl I get a "file seek error". As far as I know after I dump the sound it's a regular .wav file and should play in the mpc. Is dumoing the right way to save a single sound after I get it the way I want it or is there another way ?????Thankx

Re: Dumping sounds from PTF and playing them on Akai mpc2000xl help!
protools adds something to the files it bounces. People who use nero to burn audio-cd's ahve the same problem. Maybe the solution for you is the same as for them: open the bounced file in another application, and save it again....this removes the header....

The MPC2000XL reads only files at 44.1 kHz and 16 bits. You must select this frequency and this resloution when you bounce a sound (I use PTfree on Mac and a MPC2000XL and I don't have any problems...).
