Default What\'s the easiest way to.......

Delete large portions of a region from my hard drive?

Let's say I hit record and record 30 minutes of takes with no breaks. Then I find the two takes that I like, which are contained within the large 30 minute regions. How do I separate just these two takes and delete the remaining 25 minutes of audio without getting a message stating that "a portion of this region is still in use and the region cannot be deleted...."????
