I keep my MBP "Vanilla". I repair Disk Permissions and Restart after every install. I Verify/Repair my System HD from the Disk Utilities app. I also run Disk Warrior and Cocktail as well. As far as Crone Scripts... I don't like to f#ck with things like that!

All I know is before 10.1.2 update, everything was Kosher. After 10.1.2 update... Disaster!

Sorry, but from the info I gathered, this is an AAX HDX plug-in only.

See, this is the confusing part... I was told when I was checking out an AAX plug-in from PSP Audio (I was having some problems with their new AAX version of 608MD) that they spoke to someone @ AVID and they had told PSP that it is not good to have both the AAX and RTAS versions of these plug-ins installed (this includes AVID'S plugs as well) in the plug-ins folder.

there are self repair Crone Scripts that are suppose to run nightly, weekly and, monthly

if you turn you computer off at night (as most of us do) they don't run so the self repair scripts don't run

And this is confusing as well! When 10 came out, we essentially had 2 installers. One for HD/HDX and the other for Native. Now AVID has gone back to combining them (like they did with 9) and there in lies the confusion, because now I'm getting components (like this HDX only "Mixer" plug) installed and I cannot use it because I'm on a Native rig. And to have the additional components installed only leads to possible software conflicts...

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Me personally altering Crone Scripts.

Yes, I'm aware of this. This is why I keep my computer on 24/7.

So Carlos... How did things work out for you? Did you get things fixed and your rig up & running?

As far as "I've been on hold to CUSTOMER SERVICE for over 2 hours and it appears that they've just shut off their phones because they just hung up on me and when I tried calling back it's dead silence"

Been there, done that!

I would have called after this 10.1.2 debacle but alas, I had already used up that "one" very generous phone call (sounds a lot like jail, doesn't it?) that AVID gives out when I first installed 10 and it turned out to be a bug! I was never credited (given back) that "one" phone call either!

Kudos AVID!

Definitely the worst update I have ever experienced. It seems many of the set up items (H/W Buffer, delay compensation, I/O Set up, etc) cause either immediate crashes or in the case of I/O Set up random results.
I am experiencing an inability to have my imported home bus set up stick. I can import my settings, they look correct but as soon as I close i/o set up and then immediately reopen it things randomly change in the bus mapping.

Pro Tools 10.1.2
MBox 3 Pro
Assortment of plugins including Waves 9.

I have trashed prefs, repaired permissions - the usual stuff. I am about to revert because I really need to get work done - and billed!
