Default most stable virtual instrument for pt6.9??

I am interested in using virtual synths after years of rack mounted synths. I tried reaktor last night..... I couldn't even get the thing to see midi. It worked in standalone mode but when put on a track i get nada. What is a versatile, stable, and easy to use soft synth???? Thanks

all of the spectrasonics instruments are and have been most stable through various versions of PT. NI Kontakt has seemed to stabilize over the last year. i have used REASON for a long time and never had issues with it, either.

Reason is by far the most stable running along side Pro Tools. Spectrasonics stuff, while sounding amazing, has been really buggy in my experience.
