XP Problem, any clue?
Hi
Just installed PTLE 5.3.1 on my XP system. Got the following error after reboot, once the installation program was finished. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Sounds like som IRQ error, but haven't changed anything since I ran it in WinME. I run a AMD XP1900 with a VIA333 chipset. Worked nice in WinME... Any ideas? A solution would be lovely to hear! =) Rgds, /Staffan Kerker Sweden |

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
if you go to the microsoft support pages and search for that error, i believe you might find a solution.

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
Hm, I thought so too. Got a whole bunch
of hits but hard to find any clues to a solution to my problem... I now have the Digi001 installed in my XP, but not completely, PT can't run and I can't use the DIGI... but XP device manager says that everything is fine with the installed Digi 001.... something is very strange... |

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
The solution given by Microsoft knowledge
base is basically: "Get a correct device driver"... and so I hope I had from Digidesign... |

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
One of the beta testers solved this error by disabling his RAID controller.

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
I disabled my RAID controller as well and now
I got rid of that problem... instead I get the following upon launching PT after a now successfull installation and reboot. "This software requires installation of certain device drivers and a rebooting before running. Please reboot or reinstall software." Not this happends every time, after a few reboots, and the device manager shows that the DIGI i successfully installed... hints? do I need to have the WaveDriver installed as well? |

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
I believe you do. The new wavedrive is a separate download from the 5.3 download. If you go to where you can download the 5.3 there is mention of this and where to get it.

Re: XP Problem, any clue?
hm, that's not it.. installed the Wavedriver as well... eveything looks good but still the same problem. PT won't launch, and as I try to run other applications, say WinAmp through my Wavedriver it can't aquire the hardware...
just saw that digitest stalls on final test (7/7) never done that before... what is that test? |
