Default Re: No MIDI input to Pro Tools at all...help!

Hi!
If you send me the session (only, no audio files...should be small enough for any email program), I can see if it does the same to me...I have a Digi MIDI I/O. If I can get it to bugger my system, then I can try and resolve.

(email in profile I think... nikki9 -AT- gmail -DOT- com )

Thanks Nikki, that's very generous of you. It looks like I may have fixed the problem. I went through the Digi troubleshooting thread and found some of the things that weren't set the way they said to. These were the things I changed:

-set memory usage to System Cache
-disabled all startup items except MMERefresh
-disabled all non Microsoft services

In addition, in the BIOS I enabled Legacy USB support, which was previously disabled, and something my BIOS has called "Self Healing USB".

Now, everything seems to be working perfectly. Don't know which of the above things specifically fixed it, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Thanks to all for your help!

Cool! Glad it worked out!

If you do decide to gothrough to single out exactly what DID cause this, PLEASE post back here. I am trying ot make it a point to ask this in every thread with a problem, so that future users experiencing similar mishaps might find a viable solution, or at least stepping stone (except for the Monkeys, since they aren't anyone's stepping stone...) to finding a solution.

Thx!
