Default Hardware insert aux latency!!

Hi there.

I'm using protools 10.3.10 with a few outboard.

I work with 1024 samples in the playback buffer size, and i need it because of acustica audio plugins.

I have 2 outboard revs that i wanna use in a send/aux configuration in protools.

Latency all over, as protools does not compensate for hardware inserts in auxes. Never understood why they do not fix this!!!!!!!! reaper does this ok.

I know that if i put the playback buffer size lower it will reduce latency, but i need a real life solution/turnaround that lets me use 1024 samples with almost no latency.

As these are reverbs i do not need phase accurate. However i need almost 0 latency because of very small room reverbs i use on drums.

Please, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

yes. i know it works that way, but for my workflow it makes no sense that. i need realtime, as i send multiple tracks to the same reverb at the same time

Are you doing them "properly"? By that I mean setting them up as Hardware Inserts on an Aux Input and then bussing to them. Sorry if I misunderstood.

Hardware Insert latency is only compensated for with HD/HDN/HDX hardware.

Thats not true.

I work native and on audio tracks hw delay compensation Works. I use compressors that way. On auxes it does not compensate.

There is not insert compensation on native. HW input and insert compensation are different. It may not be bad enough for you to notice, but inserts has never been compensated for in native. You have to manually enter the amount of compensation you need in your I/O setups. The reference guide has the process for finding the amount of latency to enter.

Whatever it's called, when i insert a hw insert with a compressor on an audio track i get phase accurate compensation. Protools 10.3.10

On auxes it gets all weird . how can i compensate for this in realtime to diminuish laatency? thats what i need to know if it's possible.

Thanks again :)

is the output destination the same as the audio tracks? Is it the main outputs and not another bus?

The aux i mentioned output leads to my "master aux" track which i send all audio tracks to.

That "master aux" track has a Hw insert on it which is a bus comp, and the output of that "master aux" track is my master out 1/2
