Tech Support: Problem with Digidesign Pro Store Drives
I just got 2 large Digidesign ProStore drives. They are 9 gig Seagates (ST410800N) in 3 rack space rack mount units. I copied a large session over to these drives and am getting a DAE error indicated that the drive is too fragmented or too slow. Any word on these drives? They were certainly approved drives at one time, can they still be used? I have reformatted with FWB.

Re: Tech Support: Problem with Digidesign Pro Store Drives
What Pro Tools system are you using them on? Under what circumstances are you getting the -9073 errors?
They are 5400RPM drives -- not that fast. Can you partition them into 4GB volumes? That would improve the seek times (as long as you are only playing back or recording from a single partition per drive). ------------------ --Steve Rosenthal, Digidesign ETS

Re: Tech Support: Problem with Digidesign Pro Store Drives
The drives seem to be working now. I reformatted with FWB and partitioned them into 3gig sections. Thanks.
