Pro Tools 10 on Intelmac with Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro anyone?

Hi, we are a small studio working in voice over recording for tv.
we work with a digi 003, intel mac pro 2x2,8ghz and a canopus advc 110 for monitoring the video for the speaker and a big screen at the studio.
what is taking time is to convert the video to dv pal, as this seems the only way firewire playback with the canopus unit is working.
has anyone expirience with the blackmagic design intensity pro solution?
will it work with non - hd system like ours?
will it playback other video codecs then dv pal?

Had the Intensity Pro running with PT + CPTK and it was working fine.
Played all codecs it had to (Pro Res (HQ)+(Proxy), Photo JPEG, H264).
